Tristan Burfield  and Catnip and Claws welcomed educators and the general public to a 2 hour family friendly session on Female Pioneers of Electronic music. The session aimed to redress the gender balance in the field by discussing the often overlooked accomplishments of female composers such as Daphne Oram, Delia Derbyshire, Pauline Oliveros and Laurie Anderson. The session, streamed and recorded live, was aimed at teachers who are interested in challenging gender roles in the classroom or parents and home educators who wish to inspire their child to take up a new hobby/interest.

A video and resource pack from this event is available for students on the RECAST Educating in Music Programme
