Writer, poet and rapper Akala had a show at the Waterfront in Norwich. Through contact with his charity, The Hip Hop Shakespeare company, we were able to invite him to the SoundBites project to talk with young people the afternoon before the gig. He came up to the City Academy school and chatted for a hour or so, talking about the music industry, politics and his experiences growing up. A really inspiring session.
